How We Started

• 2002

  Eduardo Almeida launched Ranch Managers as a college project at Oklahoma City University.

• 2003

  A billing system for equine breeding facilities was developed for Royal Vista Southwest, a very well – known facility that desired a system to support very complex needs.

• 2004

  Wise Option was officially launched.

• 2005

  Wise Option version 2 was developed.

• 2006

  Wise Option version 3 was developed, introducing a collaboration with Microsoft, which provided secure data storage for each Wise Option account.

• 2007

  Wise Option version 4 was developed.

• 2008

  Wise Option version 5 was developed, featuring the first veterinary hospital module with multiple users for each account.

• 2012

  The first cloud server became available to Wise Option users along with the credit card processing integrations and the development of a unique feature, called the Stallion Report.

• 2016

  Wise Option version 6 was released, introducing a subscription-based software that offers veterinary hospitals and equine breeders the oportunities to enhance their operational efficiency by embracing automatic updates in real time.

• 2018

  The first Wise Option Mobile App was launched, allowing users the flexibilaty to access data from anytime, anywhere.

• 2023

  The development of Wise Option 7 has started

Since launching in 2002, Wise Option has provided equine businesses across the country with an innovative and highly productive platform to support their management systems.

Founder and CEO Eduardo Almeida developed Wise Option’s software as part of his thesis for an IT Master’s degree. In relationships with equine businesses, Eduardo had witnessed how staff members were forced to deal with endless paperwork and numerous repetitive tasks. He determined there was a need in the horse industry for a program that could manage appointments, document customer information, and execute billing.

To allow veterinarians and their staffs more time to focus on what they do best – giving horses great care – Eduardo launched his initial software solution, which was named Ranch Managers. When he took the first steps toward becoming a Microsoft Certified Partner, the platform was renamed Wise Option. Partner certification was achieved in 2006 and it is still a source of pride as well as a standard of excellence.

Wise Option software is designed for standard veterinary practices, equine reproduction, and hospital management and it has helped different types of practices gain an advantage. Working in-depth within these unique specializations has laid the foundation for one of our most impressive comprehensive packages that combines treatment lists, complex task packaging, lab integrations, and much more.
